  • Before you leave for your trip, a portfolio of properties will be put together ready for you to view. If you have chosen a property that you would especially like to view an appointment will be booked.

  • If you have not seen anything that you like with your agent then you can arrange with him/her to book further appointments. do not feel deflated as we have more properties to show you. If you are in an area and decide that it is not the area for you, simply contact us in our office and we can often arrange viewings with our other associate agents in other areas.

  • If you have found a property that you like then arrange with your agent/developer for a meeting where you can ask as many questions as you see fit. If after you have done this you would like to view the property again then arrange this with him/her. Remember this is your dream home and investment so take as long as you feel necessary.

  • The pre contract: Some clients take some time to arrange there money to be transferred over so a pre contract is set in place so that you have confirmed that you are going to purchase the property. This is when you make your first instalment. Always ask your agent when viewing a property how much deposit is required as each property/ development can differ from country to country.

  • You will now need to find yourself a bank, lawyer who speaks your language and open an account. This is all very easy and your agent or lawyer will be able to point you in the right direction or arrange this for you. Always use a lawyer when purchasing a property.

  • Do not think that once you are at home you have been forgotten until you go to notary. If you have any further questions to ask contact us or your agent that you saw or of course your lawyer.

  • When all you checks have been made and you and your lawyer are comfortable, a date for notary will be set. If you do not wish to come back out to go to notary then your lawyer can act as power of attorney. This will have to be set up before you leave as you will have to go to notary to grant your lawyer this power.

  • You, your lawyer and your developer or owner of the house you are purchasing will be at notary. This is when the last payment is made and the keys are handed over.

  • Even before notary you can talk to us or your agent about how you are going to furnish you property or how you can set up the property for renting. Your agent will have a lot of information on where to buy furniture, good gardeners, pool cleaners and so on. So don't think once you have been to notary that our job is done.
